The targets, once identified as threats to national security, were without any defense against the advanced methodologies used to locate, isolate and secure the needed information for further action. The key to such encounters for anyone who ever finds themselves in a similar situation is patience. Find things to occupy your time. Make friends, establish alliances which further your goals or limit the locus of control of your intended targets. Model your interactions in such a way that adversely countering your strategy only results in further entrenchment, the complete failure of their position or the interaction ensures their forceable allegiance. When corruption erodes the very foundations of democracy until the bare metal begins to rust and strain, it's too late to realize our enemies were at the gates, inside the walls and using greedy to pave the way.
